Here, we will answer one of the frequently asked question by our clients “How much does it really cost to travel to Bhutan?”.

Bhutan has TWO Seasonal Pricing:

•$ 280 / night (for 2 Persons)

Bhutan has a unique Tour Pricing Policy and has a Tourism Policy that is different from how tourism is operated in other countries.

The tour cost for Bhutan is applicable and calculated on PER NIGHT Basis.

The tour package cost includes the following services as part of the minimum daily tariff:

  • A minimum of 3 star accommodation (4 & 5 star may require an additional premium).Contact us for 5 star accommodation
  • All meals
  • A licensed Bhutanese tour guide for the extent of your stay
  • All internal Ground transport
  • Camping equipment and haulage for trekking tours at an additional fee

It also includes:

  • All internal taxes and charges
  • A Sustainable Development Fund (SDF) of $65. This SDF is paid to the Government of Bhutan PLUS 20% of all surcharges are paid to the Government.

Cost does not include the following:

  • Alcohol and Beverages, tipping to guides and drivers and other expenses of personal nature such as phone, laundry etc.
  • Meals in 4 star and 5 star Hotels
  • Extra expenses or loss due to nature and unforeseen events beyond the control of our management.
  • Clients Travel Insurance

Our Tourism Policy of “High Value, Low Volume” means that all tourist to Bhutan should enjoy the unexplored land and undiluted customs and traditions that Bhutan is rich in. And in order to save Bhutan from exploitation by too many tourists, the Minimum Tour Cost is FIXED by the Royal Government of Bhutan and all Tour Operators and Agents in Bhutan have to work at or above these Minimum Fixed Price .

It is illegal to work below these Minimum Daily Prices as it undermines the very value that Bhutan is trying to protect from the ever encroaching competitive world around and too many tourists means diluting the Rich Traditional and Cultural Legacy of Bhutan and the beautiful exclusive experience of being in Bhutan will be undermined by heavy influx of tourists.
